The Halifax Tides announced on Wednesday that head coach Stephen Hart will be back on the touchline this Sunday versus AFC Toronto after being away for six weeks due to a family medical reasons.

“So grateful for all the support shown to my family, from the club ownership and backroom staff. (Assistant coach) Katie (Barrott) and the technical staff have shown tremendous leadership, stepping up when needed. As for the players, your togetherness is an inspiration," Hart said via a press release.

"I cannot wait to be on the sidelines at Wanderers Grounds with all of you!”

Now, the club's gaffer is back just in time for Halifax's playoff push as they currently sit fourth on the Northern Super League table with 21 points. They are currently four points behind third placed AFC Toronto, making Sunday's tilt at the Wanderers Grounds an important fixture.

Under Barrott, who served as interim head coach during Hart's absence, the Tides earned seven points from seven matches, dropping points against Vancouver Rise, Ottawa Rapid, AFC Toronto and Montréal Roses. They also beat the Rise and Roses under Barrott's watch.
