What is HFX Football Post?

HFX Football Post is an independent, Atlantic Canadian-based blog dedicated to covering the region's two professional football clubs: the Halifax Wanderers (CPL) and Halifax Tides (NSL). Previously known as The Wanderers Notebook, this site began in 2023 to provide nuanced, local coverage. HFX Football Post is now entering its fourth year of publication.

Meet the publisher

This site is run and published by Josh Healey, a journalist based in Lunenburg, N.S. Josh has worked as a reporter, editor, photographer, layout designer and social media editor for various publications across Atlantic Canada. He decided to start HFX Football Post as a way of combining his love of sports and writing. Recent bylines include The Athletic, The Guardian, OneSoccer, TFC Republic and more.
