Two Tides players tapped for international duty

Milly Clegg and Anika Tóth will be away from the Halifax Tides as both were called up for international duty.
Clegg, 19, is considered a rising star for New Zealand. She debuted for her country in 2023 and played in the FIFA Women's World Cup as New Zealand's youngest representative. She then became an Olympian in 2024 as she debuted at the Paris Games. Clegg has played 183 minutes for the Tides, registering three shots, but has yet to find the back of the net for Halifax.
New Zealand plays Venezuela on May 31.
A Slovak-Canadian, Tóth opted to represent Slovakia throughout her youth football, including at the U-17, U-19 and senior levels. She made her senior debut against Morocco in 2023 and, at 23-years old, continues to show growth as a goalkeeper. She's registered two appearances for the Tides so far.
Slovakia plays Gibraltar on May 30.
