Tides add Stephen Hart as interim head coach, set for player reinforcements later in the week

Inaugural Halifax Tides head coach Lewis Page has been set aside with the club announcing Stephen Hart, former Canadian Men's National Team (CanMNT) and Wanderers gaffer, as interim head coach on Monday.
Page, who led the Tides to a 1-6-1 record, has been tasked with establishing the club's academy after two and a half months with the first team. The Tides currently sit last on the Northern Super League table with four points.
"This is about building for the long-term success of the club," said Tides president Valerie Malone of the move. "Strengthening our leadership structure and investing in player development, starting with the academy— are important steps in that direction. We're also continuing to reinforce the roster and look forward to sharing more on that later this week."

A club spokesperson confirmed plans to announce multiple player signings in the coming days.
"It's an honour to step into this role," Hart said.
"Our team is focused, resilient, and committed to growing together both on and off the field. I’m excited to lead this next chapter and help guide the players through the remainder of the season with passion, purpose, and pride.”
As noted, Hart previously guided CanMNT and served as the first coach in Halifax Wanderers history. He recently spent time as a consultant with the Portland Thorns of the National Women's Soccer League.
The Tides next play on July 7 at the Wanderers Grounds.
