Sources: Midfielder Giorgio Probo fell out of favour in Halifax due to 'attitude'

There's still been no official club update on Italian midfielder Giorgio Probo following his exclusion from the matchday squad on Natal Day. Now, multiple sources have confirmed to HFX Football Post that the club is looking to terminate the 26-year old's contract due to 'attitude issues' dating all the way back from pre-season.
Things began in training camp as Probo had an altercation with a teammate during on open session, with media in attendance, back in February. Sources said he was told to adjust his behaviour and worked his way into the starting XI. He later became unhappy with playing time and butted heads with the coaching staff. The situation came to a head, explained sources, in June, with Probo falling out of favour. From July 1 onward, the former Creighton University star was relegated to the bench.
There was a meeting between Probo and the club's senior staff ahead of the Vancouver FC match but the two sides were unable to mend the relationship. Consequently, the Wanderers initiated steps to terminate the deal. Sources said the move has not been finalized and that the paperwork is currently being processed. When contacted for comment last week, a club spokesperson said they do not comment on speculation. Probo's agency, Supra Sports, was also contacted for comment but did not reply in time for publication.
Wanderers head coach Patrice Gheisar was asked by this publication on Friday during his pre-match call if there were any additional details he could provide following earlier reporting.
"There's no update since that day," he said. "We're just going through it and it's a club decision. (Probo's) not available for selection at this point. That's all I can share."
PFA Canada was contacted for comment but did not reply in time for publication.
